Bragin Abram Griogorevich
(1893–1937)

Public figure, journalist; supporter of the Socialist tendency in Zionism. From 1917 he worked in the people's commissariat for agriculture, although not a member of the Communist Party; he published articles in Pravda under the pseudonym "Non-partisan". From 1923 he was head of the All-Russian Agricultural Exhibition. In 1924, together with M. Koltsov, he published a book entitled "The fate of the Jewish masses in the USSR". From the early 1920s he was an active supporter of the "Crimea project". He perished in the Stalinist repressions.
